Sign Up and Complete Initial Setup
Create your FluteOS account, configure your venue, and get your first QR experience ready in under 10 minutes.
Overview
This guide walks you through creating your FluteOS account, setting up your organization and venue profile, and completing the initial configuration steps so you're ready to create your first QR experience.
Prerequisites
- A business email address
- Your venue name, address, and logo (PNG or SVG, min 200×200px)
- A phone number for your organization's SMS sender
Steps
1. Go to the sign-up page
Navigate to getfluteos.com and click Start Free Trial. You'll be taken to the account creation form.
2. Enter your account details
Fill in your name, business email, and a password (minimum 12 characters). Click Create Account. A verification email will be sent to your address.
3. Verify your email
Open the verification email and click Confirm Email. You'll be redirected back to FluteOS and automatically logged in.
4. Complete the venue setup wizard
On first login, FluteOS launches the Setup Wizard. Work through each step:
- Venue name and address — Enter your venue's legal name and physical address. This is used on receipts and compliance footers.
- Industry vertical — Select Hospitality (bar, restaurant, event space, distillery, etc.).
- Logo upload — Upload your logo. FluteOS will apply it to all QR experience screens, email templates, and digital menus.
- Brand colors — Enter your primary and secondary hex color codes, or pick from the color picker. These populate your brand profile automatically.
- Timezone — Set your venue's timezone. All campaign schedules and analytics use this timezone.
Click Save & Continue after each step.
5. Set up your SMS sender
Go to Settings > Communications > SMS. Click Request Sender Number. FluteOS will provision a dedicated phone number for your account within 1 business day. Until then, outbound SMS uses a shared pool number.
Tip: If you already have a business phone number you want to use for SMS, contact support@getfluteos.com to request a number port.
6. Invite your first team member (optional)
Go to Settings > Team > Invite Member. Enter your manager's or co-owner's email and assign them the appropriate role. See Team Management for role descriptions.
7. Create your first QR experience
Go to QR Experiences > New Experience. Choose a flow type — for first-timers, Survey is the easiest to set up. Give it a name, add 3–5 questions, add a capture form, and click Publish. Download the QR code and scan it yourself to confirm the flow works end to end.
Tip: The setup wizard includes a shortcut to create a "Welcome" survey experience pre-configured with a name/email capture form. Use this to get your first QR code in hand in under 2 minutes.
